Hello and welcome to the third installment of this series. I hope you’re all having a fabulous day! If you haven’t read the first two segments, I strongly encourage you to do so. Right now, we’re going to delve further into the question introduced in the last post: How can I as an individual get better in 2018?
In the previous post, we covered things like time management and outsourcing as part of bettering ourselves and the way we do things. But we have to face the challenge of making 2018 amazing with a holistic approach. With that in mind, you need to figure out which areas of your life that you’d like to see improve. By doing this, you’re taking things from the general to the specific, which makes it much easier to act on your intentions.
A few years ago I was talking to a client who said the following: “If I don’t lose weight, I’m not going to have as much time with my grandkids. I’m going to have a shortened life if I don’t start taking care of my health right now.” I know a lot of people are probably thinking about health right now, it’s definitely an important thing to consider as you think about the upcoming year.
On the other hand, you might want to mull over your personal finances, as it’s connected to so many areas of your life. It impacts platonic relationships, dating, marriages, and stress levels. Maybe you want to free yourself from the stress of debt or have the resources to treat yourself or your loved ones to something. Much like health, finances influence so much of life that you’ll need to take a look at what aspect of your financial situation you want to change this year. There’s a wheel of success that we always look at in regards to the clients we coach. While we don’t have time to go over all of it right now, let me just say that we look at things like faith, character goals, fun and leisure, and relationship goals.
So, as you look at the different areas of your life, ask yourself this: What one or two things do you really need to knock out of the park this year to have an amazing 2018? What things will allow you to work on yourself as a human being and make you better as a person? If you thought of anything while you were reading this post, take some time to jot it down. Putting it on paper will allow you to think about it on a deeper level and solidify it later.
That’s all for now! Stay tuned for part 4 of the series for more on how to make 2018 the best year ever. Thanks for reading, and have a better than amazing day!
